These are the blog entries from Bro. Steve on the EPiC Adventure `07 Mission Trip to Palmer, Nebraska. They were transferred here from the FBCLA Homepage.
We had a GREAT trip to Kansas City! We sang some silly songs and just had a great time. But by the time we got to KC we were sure ready to get off that bus. I am soooooo thankful for Roger Tyler and Bro. Jim. God so uses ALL of us to fulfill His will. It blows my mind how God puts people together to make a complete puzzle to fulfill His will.
We just got back from a short devotional time. It was wonderful! Trying to get everyone settled in for bed now. We’ll leave back out around 8:15am or 8:30am ..after breakfast.
I’m familiar with the KCI (airport) area of Kansas City, from flying up here for Jack Henry & Assoc. I knew that I wanted something out on I-29, so that we could get back on the road easily. I called this Comfort Inn, and to make a long story short, the owner is a pastor himself. He started a Hispanic church out of the conference room here. He was excited to hear about our mission trip when I spoke with him the other day. He gave us a good rate on the rooms and allowed us to use a conference room for our meeting tonight. A small thing …but just another paving stone along the way.
I’m so excited about getting to Nebraska tomorrrow. We should get there around 1:00pm or 2:00pm. We’ll have plenty of time to check into our rooms, and then drive up to Palmer to meet the Ruttens and check out the community.
Please pray that the youth, and us too, are focused ….truly focused on why we’re here. It is already fun, and God wants us to have fun together ….but pray that we’ll stay focused on doing whatever it takes to reach folks with the gospel.
