The Responsibilities of the Wife

Continuing in his series on God’s plan for husbands and wives, and in celebration of Mother’s Day, Bro. Anthony Langley presented a sermon which detailed the responsibilities which God has commanded of the wife in the marriage relationship.

This year, we hosted the East Poinsett Co. High School Baccalaureate Service 2012 at FBC Lepanto. The Baccalaureate Service is designed to honor Jesus Christ and is an inter-faith worship service in celebration of and thanksgiving for lives dedicated to learning and wisdom. In this, our last night of Revival, Dr. David Shackelford gives us a great lesson regarding Jesus’ return to Earth. He uses some very sound Biblical doctrine to illustrate how we should live and witness to others about Him and His return with the focus being on the person of Jesus instead of the doctirne itself.

The Sovereignty of God

Hebrews 1:1-3

In this Tuesday night edition of our revival, Dr. Shackelford explains that God’s final word is in His Son and how we should react to having that knowledge. He tells us that there are no new truths out there. Everything God ordained us to know was revealed in the words and deeds of Jesus Christ.

Judgement and Eternity

Revelation 21:1

In this Monday night revival service, Dr. Shackelford tells us about the two judgements which are to take place before we all take our places in eternity and how they affect believers and non-believers alike. He also emphasises the literal existence of God, the devil, Heaven and Hell and eternity. Ronnie Dye leads our worship once again and can be heard in the second link.

The Trees of Knowledge of Good and Evil

In this Sunday evening message, Dr. Shackelford compares and contrasts the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil from the Garden of Eden and the tree which was used to make the cross on which our LORD was crucified. Ronnie Dye’s worship portion of the service is included in the second link.

Matthew 22:1-46

To start off our Spring Revival, we were blessed on this first day to have Dr. David Shackelford preaching an inspirational message on the wonder of Jesus and Ronnie Dye leading the musical portion of our worship service. We have been blessed to have Cody Brown as our Youth Minister for the last couple of years. He is now, however, moving on to full-time evangelism and moving to Searcy, AR. Therefore, on the occasion of Bro. Cody Brown’s last message to our congregation, we were blessed to have him teach us an important but what he called a simple lesson, that we are called out by God just as our parents did when we were young. We will surely miss Bro. Cody and his wife Nicole and we pray that God blesses him in his new-found calling. As Bro. Anthony explained last night, Cody is now a missionary from our church to the world. God bless you Cody and Nicole.
